MY APPROACH
My training began in Clinical Psychology with a subsequent focus on Gestalt Counselling Theory. Throughout my career I have also trained in Jungian Theory of Self and Somatic Experience work.
My experience has taught me that integrating these approaches helps clients to develop their own sense of self and longevity of personal growth. I encourage clients to develop an understanding of emotional reactions that occur in the body so that they gain a better sense of their daily experience.
By sharing a snapshot of time with a person I feel very fortunate to provide this as a piece in the whole of someone’s life.
I am able to offer the following services as part of Walk Talk Therapy through my agency www.mxnmenstherapynetwork.ca There is a team of counsellors at MxN Men's Therapy Network who I can refer you to if I am unavailable, or you would rather work them.

COUNSELLINGCounselling is a talking therapy that involves a trained therapist listening to you and helping you find ways to deal with emotional issues. Sometimes the term "counselling" is used to refer to talking therapies in general, but counselling is also a type of therapy in its own right.
Throughout my career I have provided Clinical Supervision to many different Therapists who work from a wide range of theoretical backgrounds. This has shown me that when working with a Therapist it is important to find the right fit. In our initial conversation we can discuss what you are looking for to see if we are a good fit. |
CLINICAL SUPERVISIONClinical Supervision is a part of Counselling and Psychotherapy and is designed to keep clients and counsellors safe in their clinical relationship. Supervisors are there to provide mentorship, teaching, support and evaluation of another counsellor’s work. It is an opportunity for a counsellor to see their work through another’s eyes in order to develop knowledge, reflect, receive feedback, explore ethics, discuss individual cases, change and modify working practices, explore personal process in relation to client and reduce burnout. Many consider it to be one of the most important aspects of job satisfaction and quality of care.
